Compusearch to Modernize HUD's Acquisition Environment
Project will increase accountability of taxpayer dollars throughout entire acquisition process
DULLES, Va., Oct. 29 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Compusearch is pleased to announce it has been awarded the contract to supply and implement the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development's (HUD) Integrated Acquisition Management System (HIAMS).
"Our winning proposal complements the most widely used federal acquisition system, PRISM, with the deep procurement modernization capability of Compusearch professionals and the extensive knowledge of the HUD acquisition community brought by our teaming partner Pyramid Systems, Inc.," said Compusearch CEO Reid Jackson. "Compusearch has a 27-year history providing COTS acquisition software and systems integration services to help agencies implement, operate and maintain end-to-end procurement solutions. Compusearch's PRISM-Procurement is used by more Federal Civilian agencies than all other acquisition management systems combined."
Compusearch will help HUD replace its legacy acquisition systems with a single, proven web-based PRISM solution. This solution will consolidate manually intensive processes and align a streamlined HUD business model with the new PRISM-based software system. The solution will be fully interoperable with HUD's Core Financial system, deliver improved customer services, support improved visibility, transparency, and control over HUD resources, enhance management reporting, and optimize the productivity and performance of the Agency's acquisition workforce and other HIAMS users.
"We are honored to have the opportunity to work with HUD to field an innovative, user-centric system that helps HUD do more with less," said Compusearch CTO Brock Lending. "When acquisition professionals have the tools they need to be effective, it increases their ability to meet agency missions and provide accurate and accountable information to agency executives, the Administration, Congress, and the American Public. We look forward to helping HUD meet these goals."
