Werner's appointment follows the departure of Norbert H. Fischl, former Chief Executive Officer of CGM US and Senior Vice President North America.
Kent Brostrom, who joined CGM US in 2013, remains on the executive team as Chief Operating Officer, CGM US. The leadership transition serves as an opportunity for CGM US to continue leveraging resources effectively while simultaneously strengthening the commitment to executing a business strategy that supports customer satisfaction, continuous growth and financial stability.
Werner joined CGM US in 2009 and since then, he has served in previous roles as Vice President of Research and Development, Chief Technology Officer and most recently, General Manager of the company's Health Connectivity Services (HCS) Division where he had strategic oversight of the company's state-of-the-art disease management platform, Software Assisted Medicine (SAM). Based on strong principles of entrepreneurship, Werner successfully led strategic business development and growth efforts for SAM, laying a solid foundation for profitability in the US. Notable among his many successes with CGM US, is his role in the integration and adaptation of the company's software products to suit the specific needs of the US Ambulatory Information Systems market. Having lived and worked in the US for several years, Werner has a firm grasp on the unique dynamics of the US healthcare software market.
With over 30 years of experience in healthcare software and Information Technology, Werner has also held multiple leadership positions at different CGM locations worldwide, including Ankara and Istanbul in Turkey, as well as the global headquarters based in Koblenz, Germany. His vast global experience, coupled with his comprehensive knowledge of the local US market, serves as a valuable asset to the company.
