DOWNERS GROVE, Ill., June 16, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- CompTIA, the IT industry trade association, today announced its first ChannelCon Vendor Summit, the organization's latest endeavor to help the IT industry move forward.
Held in conjunction with the 2015 ChannelCon "Minds in Motion" event in Chicago August 3-5, the inaugural ChannelCon Vendor Summit will explore and address many of the business challenges, trends and opportunities facing established and emerging IT channel vendors, now and into the future. The three-day event is open to all IT vendor executives registered to attend ChannelCon. More information, including the event agenda, is available here.
"CompTIA's new Vendor Summit complements the solution provider-focused education and discussion tracks offered at ChannelCon by placing equal emphasis on the areas of the business that keep IT vendors and industry channel chiefs awake at night," said Kelly Ricker, senior vice president, events and education, CompTIA.
"Hosted by CompTIA's leadership team and industry experts, the Summit will appeal to the builders, influencers and decision makers within the IT vendor community and, without question, will become one of the many event highlights."
The new event will educate and empower channel executives to think differently, be resourceful and take action. The agenda takes a deep dive into the research and discussions making headlines in today's technology trades including the following sessions:
- Born-in-the-Cloud Partners: What's the Difference? Presenters: Brent Combest, Microsoft and Diane Krakora, PartnerPath.

The Summit will run parallel to the main ChannelCon conference. All main stage keynotes, networking and social activities will be in combination with the full solution provider attendee base. Sessions will not interfere with the Technology Vendor Fair, so attendees won't miss a thing.
