DOWNERS GROVE, Ill., Aug. 4, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- CompTIA, the IT Industry Trade Association, today announced the election of new leaders and the addition of new members to the CompTIA Telecom Advisory Council.
The council is an invitation-only group of executives that serves as a strategic think-tank for CompTIA, presenting ideas and initiatives designed to improve and grow business throughout the industry. Members of the Telecom Advisory Council have experience and insight into both the IT and telecom markets.
Mike Saxby, president, Communications Management Services, one of the nation's largest master agencies for telecom services, was elected a co-chair of the CompTIA Telecom Advisory Council. Saxby joins Jeffery Ponts, executive vice president, Datatel Solutions, a master agent and virtual service provider, as council co-chairs.
Selected as the council's new vice chair is Bryan Schroder, founder and managing partner, Juvo Technologies, a telecommunications expense management firm.
Joining the CompTIA Telecom Advisory Council are Dave Dyson, chief executive officer, Eclipse Telecom, a provider of telecom lifecycle management services, telecom expense management and carrier procurement services; and Craig Schlagbaum, vice president, indirect channels, Comcast Business, one of the nation's leading providers of communications, entertainment and cable products and services.
