CompTIA Named one of Best Places to Work in Illinois for Fourth Consecutive Year

DOWNERS GROVE, Ill., May 14, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- CompTIA, the ICT Industry Trade Association, was named this week as one of the Best Places to Work in Illinois. This marks the fourth consecutive year CompTIA has earned a spot on the list.

CompTIA was ranked ninth in the small/medium-sized employer category (100-499 employees). A total of 65 small, medium and large employers were honored as the Best Places to Work in Illinois.

The Best Places to Work in Illinois list includes small, medium and large companies, for-profit business and not-for-profit organizations. Launched in 2006, the program is promoted by The Daily Herald Business Ledger in partnership with the Human Resource Management Association of Chicago, The Management Association, Illinois Chamber of Commerce, Workforce Boards of Metropolitan Chicago and the Oak Brook Chamber of Commerce. The program is managed by Best Companies Group.

Companies from across the state entered the two-part process to determine the Best Places to Work in Illinois. The first part consisted of evaluating each nominated company's workplace policies, practices and demographics. This part of the process was worth approximately 25 percent of the total evaluation. The second part consisted of an employee survey to measure the employee experience. This part of the process was worth approximately 75 percent of the total evaluation. The combined scores determined the top companies and the final rankings.

CompTIA has been headquartered in Illinois since 1985 and moved to its current location in Downers Grove in December 2010. CompTIA employs 102 people in Illinois and 195 people worldwide.
