LAS VEGAS, March 16, 2016 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- A legal services program created by CompTIA, the information technology (IT) industry trade association, to meet the unique needs of technology companies is available to select members of the Verizon Partner Program, CompTIA announced today at the Channel Partners Conference & Expo in Las Vegas.
The CompTIA InfoTech Law Advocates (ITLA) program was developed to lower the barrier for technology solution providers to access high-quality legal services with pricing certainty on the day-to-day legal matters. It includes a legal help desk service staffed by attorneys with broad experience in business and regulatory issues impacting technology companies.
Verizon chose to make the service available through master agents for select sub-agent solution providers to help them more efficiently and effectively answer legal questions related to their business.
"We've seen firsthand the manner in which CompTIA develops and delivers programs for the IT industry," said Janet Schijns, vice president of global marketing for Verizon and a past member of the association's Board of Directors. "They tap the expertise and guidance of industry experts to craft programs that meet the unique needs of the solution provider community. The ITLA legal services program is a great example, and we're pleased to extend this service to Verizon's master agents."
Verizon will identify master agents to participate in the program and work directly with them to provide access to ITLA.
"We're pleased that Verizon has chosen to make this important legal service program available to its solution provider community as another tool to support their business growth," said Dan Liutikas, managing attorney of ITLA and chief legal counsel for CompTIA.
