"We are proud to enter this new stage as a fully-authorized delivery partner with CompTIA," said Dr. Matthew McFadden, CSRA's Cybersecurity Service Area Director. "CSRA is a leading provider of cyber training for the federal government. We focus our expertise using real-world scenarios to design, develop, and deliver our unique hands-on training for our customers. As new threats continue to evolve, we will maintain our rigorous certification requirements and challenge our experts to stay ahead of new developments in this expanding field."
"The need for cybersecurity professionals is large and growing, with an estimated 300,000 job openings currently available across the country," said Joe Padin, Vice President, public and private sector business development for CompTIA. The cybersecurity of our nation depends on the men and women on the front lines of this new and evolving battlefield. CSRA's Cyber Institute provides training for the development, maintenance, analysis, and defense of systems and networks. All courses are available for any funded commercial or government customer to attend. CSRA offers flexible options for this instruction, including on premise, instructor-facilitated online training and mobile training at a client site.
The CSRA Cyber Institute's largest current customer is the Defense Cyber Investigations Training Academy (DCITA). As the prime contractor for this Department of Defense (DoD) program, CSRA offers the following services:
- Develops, maintains, and delivers DCITA's 30+ formal courses
- Builds, securely operates, and maintains all networks supporting thousands of DoD students
- Supports all schoolhouse operations, which delivered more than 160,000 hours of training in 2016.
The CompTIA authorization is a new milestone for CSRA's Cyber Institute and its capabilities. CSRA has recently built and delivered two CompTIA courses: CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP) and Certified Technical Trainer (CTT+). CASP aligns to DoD Directive 8570/8140 as an Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level III certification.
