ComponentOne Studio Enterprise Supports Visual Studio 2013 and Windows 8.1 plus Adds Industry's First App TouchToolkit
PITTSBURGH, Sept. 18, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- ComponentOne a division of GrapeCity, the largest component solution provider in the Microsoft Visual Studio Partner Ecosystem, has announced a point release to its world renowned suite of data and UI controls for Microsoft Visual Studio, ComponentOne Studio Enterprise 2013 v2.5. Its predecessor Studio Enterprise 2013 v2 was released in mid-July, 2013.
"With Visual Studio 2013 coming this fall and recent announcements regarding Windows 8.1, we want to give our clients the support they need to build the most up-to-date applications," said Justin Mack, product manager at ComponentOne. "The 2013 v2.5 release of Studio Enterprise and the included suites for Silverlight, Windows Presentation Foundation, WindowsPhone and WinForms support Visual Studio 2013 RC and the WinRT XAML suite supports Visual Studio 2013 Preview for building Windows Store 8.1 Preview apps."
Beyond the company's traditional offerings for Visual Studio, including Windows Store and HTML5 tools, ComponentOne has released a new toolkit inside Studio Enterprise 2013 v2.5, ComponentOne TouchToolkit for WinForms.
"We have engineered the first toolkit of its kind, one where developers can touch enable their entire application complete with gesture support and many other features, regardless if you use ComponentOne controls, another vendors controls, or out-of-the-box controls," said Mack.
With just about every organization incorporating more and more touch enabled devices into their infrastructure, ComponentOne recognized the ever increasing need for developers to be able to update their applications and the platforms they use to accommodate these devices. "Now, using the ComponentOne TouchToolkit, developers can enable a host of touch gestures for any control in their entire application," said Mack. "All of this without adopting a new platform or technology, giving the application a seamless feel and preserving a familiar user experience."
