Compass Point Research & Trading, LLC Expands Financial Services Platform

WASHINGTON, March 24 /PRNewswire/ -- Compass Point Research & Trading, LLC (Compass Point) today announced that it has expanded its financial services research platform with four additional senior analysts.  

The team will be based in Washington, D.C. and includes Managing Director and Senior Analyst Robert Schwartzberg, an industry veteran who has been with Compass Point since it was founded.  Mr. Schwartzberg will be joined by Managing Director Jason Stewart, Senior Vice President Wilkes Graham, Senior Vice President Michael Turner, and Vice President Christopher Gamaitoni.    

Mr. Gamaitoni, Vice President and Senior Financial Services Analyst, will focus on mortgage finance.  He joins Compass Point from Fannie Mae, where he served as a Senior Financial Analyst.  He received his B.S. in quantitative finance at James Madison University.

Mr. Graham, Senior Vice President and Senior Financial Services Analyst, will concentrate on real estate.  He joins the firm from FBR Capital Markets Corporation, where he spent nine years, most recently as Senior Research Analyst in the Real Estate group.  Mr. Graham earned his B.S. in business administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.  

Mr. Stewart, Managing Director and Senior Financial Services Analyst, will focus on consumer finance.  He joins the firm from EJF Capital, where he served as fund manager for the firm's distressed opportunity funds.  He earned his B.S. in business administration with a concentration in finance from the University of Richmond, and is a CFA charterholder.    

Mr. Turner, Senior Vice President and Senior Financial Services Analyst, will focus on commercial finance.  He joins Compass Point from Hovde Capital, where he was a Senior Investment Analyst.  Mr. Turner received his M.B.A. from the Joseph M. Katz Graduate School of Business at the University of Pittsburgh and his B.A. in business and economics from Randolph Macon College.
