COMPAREX StrangerFest: A Night of Fright for a Cause

RALEIGH, N.C., Sept. 14, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- On October 28^th, COMPAREX USA invites the public to donate to American Red Cross disaster relief efforts while having fun at our first annual StrangerFest fundraiser. From 5-9pm in the downtown Raleigh Warehouse District at 311 S. Harrington St, we're raising funds for relief efforts, as well as collecting as many disaster comfort kits as possible to be sent to the Red Cross.

Local breweries and food vendors will be catering this Stranger Things-themed party, with events ranging from a Thriller dance off and two costume contests (best traditional Halloween costume and best Strangers Things/80s costume), to tarot card readings, face painting, a Demogorgon DJ (if you don't know, you will), and so much more. The entire area will be turned into the iconic Upside Down from the show, an eerie alter dimension mirroring our own world.

Between Hurricanes Harvey and Irma, thousands of people have been displaced and massive damage has been caused. Right out of the gate and even before its peak, this hurricane season has been one to remember. Those in the path of these hurricanes have been uprooted and some have lost everything due to flooding and wind damage. And while the media is focused on these large, catastrophic disasters, local disasters are still occurring. The American Red Cross responds to all disasters, large and small, and in the wake of everything seen in the past two weeks, they need support now more than ever.
