Analyst Update: Management Changes, Collaborative Agreements, Estimates & Earnings and Stock Offering

U.S. stocks mostly closed lower on Tuesday amid a mixed bag of earnings reports. The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 0.47% to 17949.59, and the S&P 500 ended the session 0.15% lower at 2097.31. On a positive note, the NASDAQ gained 0.39% to close at 5014.10, mainly supported by big gains in biotechnology stocks amid strong M&A activities. European stocks continued their strong run on Tuesday. Major European markets closed the session higher, as Germany's DAX jumped 0.4%; Britain's FTSE 100 rose 0.15%, and France's CAC gained 0.10%. Meanwhile, Asian markets surged on Tuesday, recovering from their disappointing session on the previous day. The Shanghai Composite, Japan's Nikkei and Hong Kong's Hang Seng all posted positive gains.
Regions Financial Corporation (Regions Financial) announced that Sarah Stewart, Branch Service Leader in Bassfield, Mississippi has received the Regions Bank Better Life Award. The Award is the top honor given to a Regions Financial associate for outstanding dedication and job performance, as well as exemplary involvement and commitment to the community.
KeyCorp reported its Q1 2015 results on April 16, 2015, with earnings and revenue meeting Wall Street estimates. The Company's revenues rose to $1.01 billion from $1 billion in the first quarter of 2014, while the earnings of $222 million were down from $232 million in the prior-year period. On a per-share basis, earnings were flat at $0.26.
Visa Inc. (Visa) will report its fiscal second quarter 2015 financial results on Thursday, April 30, 2015. The results will be released after market close. The Company informed that the investors can also access a live audio webcast beginning at 5:00 p.m. ET (or 2:00 p.m. PT) as the management discusses the results.
Corning Incorporated (Corning) announced that the Company has signed a collaborative agreement with OLEDWorks to develop unique, flexible, and conformable OLED lighting solutions using Corning® Willow® Glass as an integrated substrate. Willow Glass is a thin & flexible hermetic barrier and substrate, which helps protect sensitive internal components from the damaging effects of moisture and oxygen while also acting as a structural material.
Spirit Realty Capital Inc. (Spirit) announced the successful closing of its common stock public offering of 20 million shares. The underwriters exercised their option to purchase additional shares, and acquired 3 million shares to bring the total issue to 23 million shares. The offering was priced at $11.85 per share.
