Companies Headquartered in Palm Beach County, Florida to be Recognized by County and Business Leaders on Tuesday
WEST PALM BEACH, Fla., Dec. 14, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- How serious is Palm Beach County, FL about attracting and keeping companies? Tomorrow, local government and business leaders will do something that has never been done before to recognize companies that are based here -- they will hop aboard a bus with the Business Development Board of Palm Beach County, to tour company headquarters and meet with C-level executives and employees to express their appreciation for contributing to the region's economy.
According to Kelly Smallridge, CEO of the Business Development Board of Palm Beach County, "The many companies that are moving into Palm Beach County receive exposure and accolades for making the smart decision to relocate here. We also want to show appreciation for the businesses that have been in Palm Beach County for years, paying taxes, employing residents and supporting the County. On Tuesday, December 15, we'll hit the road to recognize them."
The Business Development Board group will visit companies in Boca Raton and Boynton Beach to thank them and learn more about what makes them special and innovative. The day will include facility tours, Q&A sessions and interactive product and technology demonstrations. "Each company stop will be unique, and we're excited that several companies plan to share the ways that they are attracting the next generation of high-quality employees," said Smallridge.
The bus tour will kick off at FAU's Tech Runway in Boca Raton with words from Kim Gramm, associate vice president of FAU Tech Runway and Director of the Adams Center for Entrepreneurship.
The bus tour's first company stop will be at Modernizing Medicine, followed by visits to National Council on Compensation Insurance (NCCI), Bethesda Health, KRS Global Biotechnology, 3Cinteractive Corp, ADT, SBA Communications Corporation and Wells Fargo.
This South County bus tour is the first of four tours the Business Development Board is planning. Tours of businesses in the central and north areas of the county will take place in the spring and summer of 2016.
