Comodo Updates Next Generation Data Loss Prevention Solution
CLIFTON, N.J., April 16, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- The Comodo organization, a global innovator and developer of cyber security solutions, today announced the next generation of its data loss prevention solution, Comodo MyDLP version 2.8.
MyDLP 2.8 is an all-in-one software solution with a single user license which monitors, discovers and prevents data leakage from multiple endpoints across a company network. Among the key endpoint protection features of MyDLP:
- Monitor and control removable device usage in an organization with USB and CD/DVD rules
- Monitor and control the movement of sensitive information across enterprise networks over HTTP/S and Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP), an Internet standard for e-mail transmission
- Block or quarantine confidential files trying to be copied to various endpoints or print jobs which contain confidential information
- Block or quarantine confidential data across an organization's network
- Locate sensitive information stored throughout the enterprise and archive sensitive files by its content
"The endpoint is the most volatile security risk for data loss in networks today, as IT administrators struggle to balance security needs without hindering employee needs and performance," said Burak Akin, Product Manager for MyDLP, Comodo. "MyDLP helps ensure regulatory compliance and limiting access to those who can move information, helping enterprises manage and control data leakage from both controlled and uncontrolled endpoints."
Olgun Celik, a leading spring engineering and manufacturing company across Europe, recently signed an agreement with Comodo to implement its MyDLP technology into its IT infrastructure. "When we were looking for a technology leader that could give us a streamlined endpoint security solution that would prevent data leakage while still be able to run on either virtual machines or any hardware platform, Comodo's MyDLP offering became the clear leader for us," said Serkan Oney, IT & IS Manager, Olgun Celik. "We have critical information on patents, competitive advantages, and engineering ingenuity that is shared across our network and that information needs to stay safe, secure and protected. Comodo's MyDLP solution ensures our infrastructure is not at risk for data theft."
With a single license, IT administrators can always easily upgrade to new version of MyDLP through on premise or software as a service (SaaS) offerings, with no additional costs and no sacrifice of features. More information on MyDLP can be found at https://www.mydlp.com/
Comodo MyDLP will be demonstrated at RSA 2015 at the Comodo pavilion, South Hall, Booth #815.
