Community Bank & Trust to sell approximately 60 properties in Oct 9 auction
ATLANTA, Sept. 20, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- A restaurant in Jasper, a condominium in Athens, a former day care in Habersham County, and an office/warehouse facility in Commerce are among approximately 60 properties being sold at auction by Community Bank & Trust on Wednesday, Oct. 9, with John Dixon & Associates marketing the properties and managing the sale.
"We have quite a bit of variation, and some very good commercial and residential properties, in this group. All but six of the properties will sell absolute, with no minimum or reserve," said John Dixon, president of the auction company.
The sale will include real estate in 22 Georgia counties, with most of the properties located to the north and northeast of Atlanta, according to Dixon. Also selling will be numerous home sites and tracts of commercial land.
"We have quite a bit in Habersham and Stephens counties, and on up into North Carolina," he said. "For example, we'll be selling 22 acres of beautiful commercial land in Fairview, N.C., just southeast of Asheville. We have several commercial buildings, and a number of lots in nice subdivisions. The economy just keeps improving, and home builders are starting to realize there may not be a lot more time to get lots for future construction at today's prices."
The auction will begin at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 9, at the Robson Event Center, 301 Broad Street, Gainesville, Ga.
