NEW ALBANY, Ohio, Feb. 19, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Commercial Vehicle Group, Inc. (Nasdaq: CVGI) announced today that the company has earned recognition as a Partner-level supplier for 2013 in the John Deere Achieving Excellence Program for the third time. The Partner-level status is Deere & Company's highest supplier rating.
CVG was selected for the honor in recognition of its dedication to providing products and service of outstanding quality as well as its commitment to continuous improvement. Company employees accepted the recognition during formal ceremonies held on February 18 in Davenport, Iowa.
Commercial Vehicle Group is a supplier of electrical distribution systems to John Deere's Construction and Forestry operations in both Davenport and Dubuque, Iowa.
Suppliers who participate in the Achieving Excellence program are evaluated annually in several key performance categories, including quality, cost management, delivery, technical support and wavelength, which is a measure of responsiveness. John Deere Supply Management created the program in 1991 to provide a supplier evaluation and feedback process that promotes continuous improvement.
Kevin R. Frailey, CVG's President of Global Construction, Agriculture and Military group stated, "We are pleased and proud that our employees in Iowa and Mexico could once again meet and excel in each of John Deere's rating categories. Our team worked hard to consistently provide the highest performance in the areas of quality, delivery, technical support, relationship building and cost management."
"CVG has been a partner and supplier to Deere for more than 25 years, and we have participated in the John Deere Achieving Excellence program since 1999. We look forward to continuing a long and mutually beneficial relationship with John Deere," Frailey added.
