Commercial property along Winchester's busy Decherd Boulevard selling at absolute auction
WINCHESTER, Tenn., Nov. 2, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Approximately 22 acres of commercial land in Winchester's business district along Decherd Boulevard, including the land on both sides of the new Home Depot, will sell at in an online auction closing Thursday, Nov. 19, with McLemore Auction Company managing the sale.
The land will sell in three tracts, according to Will McLemore, president of the Nashville-based auction company. All tracts will sell absolute, with no minimum or reserve.
"It's hard to imagine a better location for a hotel or restaurant, and we've divided the land into tracts based on those and similar uses," said McLemore. "The land we're selling sits on either side of the new Home Depot, with a single 4.8-acre tract to the north, between Home Depot and Hall Furniture."
The other tracts -- 10.9 and 6.6 acres -- are to the south of the home store. "Bidders can view the properties and bid at their convenience at mclemoreauction.com. We'll have the important documents online, but those who have questions are welcome to call us at 615-517-7675," he said.
"These are highly visible locations, with a Wal-Mart Superstore, a Zaxby's and other nearby businesses. Decherd Boulevard (U.S. 41A) has an average of more than 21,000 cars per day," said McLemore. "We could have one bidder buying all three of these tracts, or we could have as many as three buyers. It wouldn't surprise me if someone combines the two tracts to the south of Home Depot to create a single 18-acre property," he said.
Also selling on the 19th is 0.87 acres of commercial property on Cowan Highway (U.S. 41A) in Winchester.
McLemore Auction Company, based in Nashville, conducts real estate and personal property auctions primarily in Tennessee and surrounding states, using both online and live auctions.
