BMS Direct is a leading provider of billing, statement and invoice processing services for utilities and businesses in Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland and beyond. According to Leif Aagaard, VP at BMS, the company had been searching for a suitable replacement for their legacy document generation software and DocOrigin finally fit the bill. Three criteria that were critical to BMS were; dynamic data driven form and document design, flexible workflow configuration, and full support of their fleet of Konica Minolta printers.
BMS began looking at DocOrigin after a recommendation from Screen (ScreenUSA.com) when the company was evaluating the TruePress Jet520 high speed inkjet printers from Screen. DocOrigin was certified by Screen in 2013. "We'd been looking for a couple of years to find a replacement for our legacy software called System 1032," says Aagaard. "DocOrigin seemed to be the most robust package with everything put together for us. The form's design and generation is very clean, the support has been extremely good, and we feel like this a product we can live and grow with."
Aagaard anticipates a number of benefits from adopting DocOrigin. "We aim to develop applications more quickly. As a result we anticipate being able to be more competitive in the marketplace; being able to better handle full color and prepare ourselves for inkjet technology, which our current systems do not support."
BMS is banking on DocOrigin to help them be more successful with their customers. "We will be able to provide a more modern look to our statements," says Aagaard. "And offer more features and provide faster turnaround times for our customers."
Aagaard says the future looks bright for DocOrigin and BMS. "DocOrigin is our future. We are planning to migrate all of our applications and this will be our main software that everyone will be using. It is changing the way we do business and we feel that DocOrigin is a software product that we will be able to utilize for the next decade."
Steve Luke, CEO of Eclipse Corporation added, "DocOrigin software was created by one of the most experienced form and document development teams ever. BMS joins enterprise clients, commercial print providers, and industry OEM's like Advantage 360, California State University, Eaton, Ottawa Food Bank, ITOCHU, PPG Aerospace, Mele Printing, and many more. The diversity of our customer base is solid proof of the power and flexibility of DocOrigin. We are very happy BMS Direct has joined us."
