VALLEY GLEN, Calif., March 25, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- There's a comedy show that is headed to the legendary El Portal Theatre in North Hollywood on Sunday, March 31, 2019 that is not your typical comedy show. Conveniently called The Comedy Show, the event is a fundraiser for Summit View School, which is dedicated to educating young people with learning differences who possess average to superior intellectual capabilities. Spearheaded by Sherri Shepherd, Summit View parent and Emmy Award-winning former co-host of ABC's The View, the comedy show will feature an all-star line-up of comedians, including George Lopez, Louie Anderson, Wanda Sykes, Tammy Pescatelli, Billy Gardell, and Kevin Nealon. Sherri Shepherd will emcee the night's festivities, which also includes a happy hour and silent auction.
Here's The Comedy Show line-up:
- Louie Anderson - Star and Emmy-Award winner for best supporting actor in the hit FX TV show, Baskets
- Billy Gardell - Star of the CBS hit television show, Mike & Molly
- George Lopez - Star of The George Lopez Show
- Kevin Nealon - Best known as one of the longest-running cast members on NBC's Saturday Night Live (1986-1995) and current cast member of Man with a Plan, airing Monday nights on CBS.
- Tammy Pescatelli - Winner of Comedy Central's Stand-up Showdown and star of the Netflix special Finding the Funny.
- Wanda Sykes - Emmy-Award winning writer on The Chris Rock Show and co-star of The New Adventures of Old Christine.
- Sherri Shepherd, Emmy-Award winning, former co-host of ABC's The View
