Paul Rodriguez has provided comedic relief to audiences all over the world in English and Spanish for more than 30 years. The actor, comedian, writer, director, and producer has been featured in over 45 films and countless television series and comedy specials. From talk shows, to movies, to sitcoms, to stand-up performances, Rodriguez has successfully done it all.
Rodriguez has a knack for creating side-splitting shows. He pulls funny material from his Latin roots, sharing past experiences of growing up as a Hispanic American while providing a comedic portrayal of current issues impacting the Hispanic community. He executive produced the concert film, "The Original Latin Kings of Comedy" in which he starred with Cheech Marin, George Lopez, and Carlos Mencia. His current hit show, "Mis Videos Locos with Paul Rodriguez" airs every Sunday night on MTV Tr3s. Rodriguez is also appearing in the upcoming movie release, "Without Men" with Eva Longoria and Christian Slater.
Voted one of the most influential Hispanics in America and awarded the Ruben Salazar Award by the National Council of La Raza (NCLR), Rodriguez has remained a constant force in his community and the world of comedy.
CHCI's 11th Annual Reyes of Comedy promises a night of laughs as comedians pull from their own experiences to portray life as a Latino in the United States. Past participants include Carlos Mencia, Alex Reymundo, Debi Gutierrez, Felipe Esparza, Gilbert Esquivel, Joey Medina, Cheech Marin, Bill Santiago and Kiki Melendez.
Tickets will be available through Ticketmaster in late July. Log on to www.chci.org for additional announcements on Reyes of comedy performers.
