ComEd to receive Sharing Success Award, Named Corporation of the Year

CHICAGO, April 2, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- On Thursday, April 23, 2015, the Minority Business Enterprise Input Committee (MBEIC) will recognize student scholars, corporate buyers, minority business enterprises, and champions of supplier diversity at the 48^th Annual Chicago Business Opportunity Fair (CBOF48).

Commonwealth Edison (ComEd), a business unit of Exelon Corporation, will receive the Corporation of the Year Award at the MBEIC Awards Reception and Dinner.

ComEd demonstrates its commitment to world-class leadership in supplier diversity by reaching across all operating companies and business units encompassing a wide range of initiatives tracked for continuous improvement. In 2014, ComEd spent $415 million with diverse suppliers, a $100 million increase over 2013.
