ComEd to receive Sharing Success Award, Named Corporation of the Year

CHICAGO, April 2, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- On Thursday, April 23, 2015, the Minority Business Enterprise Input Committee (MBEIC) will recognize student scholars, corporate buyers, minority business enterprises, and champions of supplier diversity at the 48th Annual Chicago Business Opportunity Fair (CBOF48).
Commonwealth Edison (ComEd), a business unit of Exelon Corporation, will receive the Corporation of the Year Award at the MBEIC Awards Reception and Dinner.
ComEd demonstrates its commitment to world-class leadership in supplier diversity by reaching across all operating companies and business units encompassing a wide range of initiatives tracked for continuous improvement. In 2014, ComEd spent $415 million with diverse suppliers, a $100 million increase over 2013. On April 23, 2015, the Chicago Minority Supplier Development Council will present Anne Pramaggiore, President and CEO, ComEd, with the 2015 Sharing Success Award for Corporation of the Year.
