Palm Beach Photographic Centre in Downtown West Palm Beach
The Palm Beach Photographic Centre's year-round museum and gallery exhibitions include the 21st Annual Members' Juried Exhibition, August 25 - October 28.  The Photographic Centre is on lively Clematis Street, at the heart of Downtown West Palm Beach and the West Palm Beach Arts & Entertainment District.

This 1939 Works Progress Administration (WPA) Art Deco-style armory has been transformed into an art school and exhibition space.  New & Now: Work by New Faculty Fall 2017 features work by new faculty members and the 2017-2018 artists-in-residence. Catch the exhibition August 28 - October 14.

Old School Square in Delray Beach
Old School Square in downtown Delray Beach is a cluster of restored early 20th century school buildings listed on the National Register of Historic Places, now home to the Cornell Art Museum, the intimate Crest Theatre, a Vintage Gymnasium, and outdoor performance space.  Take in five cult classic films at the Crest Theatre's Wet Hot American Summer film festival.  Highlights are the second annual "Dude Night with The Big Lebowski" (August 18), The Blues Brothers (September 1), Animal House and Old School (September 8), and Airplane! (September 15).

The Henry Morrison Flagler Museum 1902 Whitehall estate in Palm Beach is a National Historic Landmark featuring guided tours, changing exhibits, and special programming.  The Flagler Museum is a lovely way to cool off and immerse yourself in Gilded Age splendor and Palm Beach history.

Spady Culture Heritage Museum in Delray Beach
The Spady Cultural Heritage Museum in the historic West Settlers District of Delray Beach is dedicated to the African-American history and heritage of Florida. The site is the former home of the late Solomon D. Spady, a prominent African American educator and community leader in Delray Beach from 1922 to 1957.  Visit Spady for the history and for the Black Movie Experience every first Saturday in August, September and October from 1-4 p.m.

Norton Museum of Art in West Palm Beach
The Norton Museum is world famous for its distinguished permanent collection featuring American Art, Chinese Art, Contemporary Art, European Art, and Photography.  Two exhibitions are set to open on September 5:  Earth Works: Mapping the Anthropocene features Justin Brice Guariglia's artworks based on photographs taken while accompanying NASA scientists on flights over Greenland to study the effects of melting glaciers on rising sea levels. The Julie Mehretu: Epigraph, Damascus exhibition focuses on a recently acquired six-panel print that incorporates deconstructed architectural renderings of the Syrian city of Damascus.
