"We are incredibly grateful to all our friends at Comcast for the amazing work that will be done at The Boys & Girls Club of Burlington and Winooski during Comcast Cares Day," said Mary Alice McKenzie, Executive Director of The Boys & Girls Club of Burlington and Winooski. "To us, Comcast exemplifies the very best of corporate citizenship. We are blessed in this community to have businesses that are so community focused that they will mobilize their workforce as well as their employees' families to help those of us who need help. Because of Comcast the children we serve will be walking through the doors of freshly painted, refurbished and landscaped buildings. One of the important ways to let a child know that we care about them is to provide clean, bright and safe spaces for them. The people of Comcast help us create those spaces for our children. Thank you so much to everyone at Comcast for caring about the children of The Boys & Girls Club of Burlington and Winooski."
The Comcast Foundation will also provide grants to local community partner organizations across the country on behalf of each employee and family member who volunteers on Comcast Cares Day. The grants will help Comcast's community partners continue their mission of serving the community throughout the year.
