Comcast Unveils New Cromwell Xfinity Customer Service Center
Grand Opening Highlights Comcast's Continued Commitment to Improving the Customer Experience
BERLIN, Conn., Jan. 19, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Comcast today held a special reception and ribbon-cutting event to announce the grand opening of its new Xfinity Customer Service Center in Cromwell. The 2,100 square foot center is designed entirely around the needs of customers and provides Comcast customers with an opportunity to explore, learn about and interact directly with the latest Xfinity products and services.
Elected officials and community leaders, including State Senator Paul Doyle, State Representative Christie Carpino, Cromwell Deputy First Selectman Dick Newton, Cromwell Selectwoman Ann Halibozek and Middlesex County Chamber of Commerce President Larry McHugh, all came out to help celebrate the opening and tour the new space. Additionally, Garry Mullaney, President and CEO of the Cromwell Children's Home, was in attendance to accept a $2,500 donation from Comcast that will allow the Children's Home to make technology updates to its computer lab.
The new Xfinity Customer Service Center in Cromwell is conveniently located and features flat screen TVs, a comfortable seating area and a 3D television set and viewing glasses that allows customers to experience 3D viewing. Customers can also try out some of Comcast's converged services and popular apps on an iPad, like the Xfinity TV app. Kiosks around the center also provide customers with the opportunity to experience Xfinity TV, test drive Xfinity Internet's speeds and try out the Xfinity Voice service.
In addition, customers will receive personalized service from trained and knowledgeable Sales Consultants and more time-saving offerings, including a self-service kiosk for quick bill pay and a new queuing system that allows customers to explore and be entertained instead of waiting in line for service.
"We're proud to provide our customers with a place where they can experience our Xfinity products and Services firsthand and check out the latest technology in an interactive environment," said Mary McLaughlin, Senior Vice President of Comcast's Western New England Region. "This new model not only has a more welcoming design, but a new attitude as we apply the same mindset of innovation, speed and utility that our customers love about our products to our customer service."
The Cromwell XFINITY Customer Service Center will be open Monday through Friday from 10 am - 6 pm and Saturday from 9 am - 1 pm. This center replaces the former Comcast Service Center located at 19 Tuttle Road in Middletown and the Public Access TV studio that was previously located at the same address. The Public Access TV studio is being relocated to 199 Shunpike Road in Cromwell and a grand opening event and open house will be held there on Tuesday, January 31 from 7-9 PM.
