Comcast Names New Regional Vice President of Human Resources for California Region

LIVERMORE, Calif., March 28, 2016 /PRNewswire/-- Comcast has added its newest member to the California Senior Leadership Team, naming Darren Oliver as the new Regional Vice President of Human Resources.  Oliver will report to Hank Fore, Regional Senior Vice President of the California Region for Comcast California.

"Darren Oliver has 30 years of extensive knowledge in human resources, leading people and building teams," said Fore. "He is an inspirational leader whose passion to create a winning culture amongst his employees is why I know he will be an excellent fit for California."

Oliver comes to California from the Comcast Oregon/South West Washington Region serving five years as their Vice President of Human Resources. He replaces Micah Hawk who recently was promoted to Divisional Vice President of Human Resources in Denver.

Before joining Comcast, Oliver spent twelve years as the Director of Human Resources with Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts opening three luxury hotels in New York, Austin, and Dallas.  In 2000, he opened Paris Las Vegas as Vice President of Human Resources and Entertainment.  Oliver then moved to California as Senior Vice President of Human Resources at Kaiser Permanente and spent nine years there leading a cultural turnaround.

Oliver spends his time exercising his passion for youth development through his role as a Board member with Campfire Columbia, and as a Big Brother in Columbia Northwest's Big Brothers/Big Sisters organization. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Hotel, Restaurant, and Travel Administration from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.
