Comcast Business Class Enhances Communications for Arthur J. Rogers & Co. Building Tenants in the Chicago Area
Commercial real estate firm equips buildings with immediate, one-stop access to high-speed Internet, voice and television services
PHILADELPHIA, Nov. 16, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Comcast Corporation (Nasdaq: CMCSA, CMCSK), one of the nation's leading providers of entertainment, information and communications products and services, today announced that Arthur J. Rogers & Co., a full service commercial real estate firm based in Elk Grove Village, Illinois, is offering high-speed Internet, voice and cable television from Comcast Business Class to support its tenants' advanced communications needs in the greater Chicago area.
Arthur J. Rogers, which owns and manages 31 properties throughout Cook, DuPage, Kane and Lake County, is offering high-speed communications services from Comcast Business Class in all of its buildings, which include various office, industrial and flex space facilities.
"Offering high-speed communications from Comcast is an additional service that we can provide to tenants and use to maintain and build our business," said John Smart, property manager RPA at Arthur J. Rogers & Co. "Some tenants ask us if Comcast is available in the building before they sign the lease, and some have made it a requirement, so we have learned that it is important to offer Comcast in our properties."
Recently, Comcast Business Class also announced the results of its 2011 State of Communications Services in Commercial Real Estate Survey, which polled nearly 500 U.S. commercial real estate building owners and property managers and members of the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA). Respondents confirmed that access to advanced communications services has replaced on-site gyms, cafeterias and other building amenities as a top priority for tenants when choosing office locations. In fact, 90% of respondents say that access to advanced communications was among the top items on their list, after only price, parking and location.
"Modern, high-performance communications has become a requirement for many organizations when they look at a building because it is so critical to supporting their daily business operations," said Terry Connell, senior vice president for Comcast Business Services. "As a prominent real estate firm with locations across metropolitan Chicago, Arthur J. Rogers understands the strategic value of providing high-quality communications services to its tenants."
