More Behind-the-Scenes Content Part of the 2010 On Demand Lineup
BOSTON, June 21 /PRNewswire/ -- Comcast, one of the nation's leading providers of entertainment, information and communications, today announced the start of another season of Red Sox On Demand in partnership with the Boston Red Sox, once again delivering Sox fans exciting behind-the-scenes features, player profiles and notable on the field moments.
The new season of Red Sox On Demand connects fans with their favorite team every day of the year with the latest team news, community events, profiles of current and past players, insider features and historic milestones. Highlights include a fielding clinic by Kevin Youkilis; Nomar Garciaparra's retirement ceremony; a profile of Jeremy Hermida; Home Run Heroes, which looks at some of the best hitters ever in team history; My Name Is Ted Williams, which is a documentary that focuses on his off-the-field interests such as fishing; and a behind-the-scenes look at the recent Run to Home Base community event at Fenway. This season of Red Sox On Demand introduces a new category called "Fan Favorites" which will bring back some of the most popular Red Sox On Demand programs for fans to enjoy again. Red Sox On Demand also includes episodes of Red Sox Report, which airs weekly on NESN, in both English and Spanish.
Red Sox On Demand is updated regularly with the most up-to-date news and features. It is available around the clock with the click of the remote control, allowing fans to pause, fast-forward or rewind their way through their favorite moments or to deepen their knowledge about the team, players and coaches. This feature, exclusive to Comcast digital cable subscribers, can be easily accessed by selecting the "Get Local" category from the On Demand menu and then "Red Sox On Demand." As with the overwhelming majority of Comcast's more than 17,000 On Demand programs available each month, Red Sox On Demand comes at no additional cost to Comcast Digital Cable customers.
