ComCam Signs Reseller Agreement with DRS Technologies, Offering Wireless Networked Thermal Imaging Surveillance and Security Solutions
WEST CHESTER, Pa., Sept. 29 /PRNewswire/ -- ComCam International, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: CMCJ), an innovator in wireless "command and control" network security solutions, announced today that it has signed a reseller agreement with the Reconnaissance, Surveillance and Target Acquisition (RSTA) business group of DRS Technologies, Inc., a world leader in thermal night vision technology for military and homeland security applications. Under this agreement ComCam can provide its customers with a powerful set of remotely controlled long-range surveillance technologies.
ComCam CEO Don Gilbreath stated, "We have enjoyed a good working relationship for over 5 years with DRS. We have jointly fielded systems in some of the most inhospitable spots on the planet with measured success and no down time. Establishing this value-added reseller (VAR) relationship now enables ComCam to bundle affordable, high-performance thermal surveillance technology with our wireless IP platform and analytics in configurations for commercial and civil markets."
DRS' new surveillance systems use industry-leading CCD daylight cameras and DRS infrared cameras for mid- and long-range target detection at any time of day or night. Complete with integrated pan and tilt, these best-in-class cameras deliver outstanding price-to-performance advantages:
- The LR+ is a cooled midwave system with a target detection range of up to 6 kilometers; it uses DRS' exclusive, long-life HotIR thermal imaging sensor technology for an unmatched combination of high reliability, small pixels, and minimized size, weight and power requirements.
- The HRV+ is an uncooled longwave system offering a high-resolution, 640x480 DRS thermal imaging sensor with a target detection range of up to 3 kilometers.
"The combination of the DRS thermal camera line with ComCam's MicroServer and C3 software suite bring a powerful set of remote capabilities that can improve force protection, border security, airport and base security, coastline patrol, and guarding of vulnerable critical infrastructure such as power plants," concluded Gilbreath. http://www.comcam.net/solutions-border-security.php
