Combined Wealth Of Richest Individual In Each American State Crosses US$450 Billion

NEW YORK, Oct. 25, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Wealth-X, the ultra high net worth (UHNW) business development solution for Global Private Banks, Luxury Brands, Educational Institutions and Non-Profits, released a list of the wealthiest ultra high net worth individual (UHNWI) in each American state.  

The list includes some of the best known names in American industry with Bill Gates and Warren Buffett topping the honour roll and John Martin rounding out the list. According to the Wealth-X World Ultra Wealth Report 2012-2013, the U.S. has 60,280 UHNWIs collectively worth just under US$ 8.3 trillion. The combined wealth of the richest 50 UHNWIs by state represents 5.5% of the combined wealth of all American UHNWIs.

Friedman said, "68% of the UHNWIs on the list created their own fortunes with another 14% inheriting their wealth and proceeding to create fortunes of their own.
