Columbia to Welcome New Dickey's Barbecue Pit Location

COLUMBIA, S.C., Aug. 17, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Dickey's Barbecue Pit will open a new location in Columbia, South Carolina, headed up by franchisee Donnell Brown.

"I visited the Dickey's Barbecue in Taylors, South Carolina and the quality of food was excellent," said Brown, who has lived in Columbia for the past 20 years.

Dickey's Barbecue is experiencing a rapid expansion nationally and currently has two locations operating in South Carolina.

"The restaurant business has always appealed to me as something exciting to invest in, the fast-paced nature of a quick serve restaurant, combined with the reward for hard work really drew me to opening up my own franchise," said Brown.

This is the first franchise opportunity for the South Carolina native.

The original Dallas location is still open for business and Dickey's Barbecue Pit is still owned and operated by the Dickey Family.
