Columbia Elks to Start ELKS (Enriching Lives and Kindling Success) Youth Program
CHICAGO, Jan. 25 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- With some help from the Elks National Foundation, the charitable arm of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, the Columbia Elks will start an after-school program at their Lodge for youth ages K-12 for 3 hours a day, 3 days a week. They will also use this program to promote youth participation in local service projects.
ELKS (Enriching Lives and Kindling Success) Youth Program will be funded by an Impact Grant awarded to the Columbia Elks by the Elks National Foundation. Impact Grants are the newest addition to the Elks National Foundation's Community Investments Program. They are competitive grants designed to help Elks make a difference in their community. This year, Columbia Elks Lodge No. 594 is one of 49 recipients nationwide to receive an Impact Grant. The grants range from $2,500 to $10,000.
