"I am truly honored, and believe this award is the culmination of a successful team effort," said Ms. Fisher. "I'm privileged to be surrounded by an extremely talented group of individuals who were tireless in executing the vision for growth and unparalleled customer focus."
During her tenure with SkinMedica, Ms. Fisher led dynamic year-over-year growth, helping it become the "Fastest growing professional skin care company in the United States*" for six consecutive years. Under Fisher's purview, SkinMedica sold their medical assets to Intendis, a division of Bayer in 2009, rolled out a first of its kind customer educational initiative along with a sales force expansion in 2010, acquired Colorescience in 2011, and was a key player in SkinMedica's acquisition by Allergan in December 2012.
Since joining Colorescience in April of this year, Ms. Fisher bolstered the brand's executive team to include Ted Ebel as Chief Business Officer and Steve Loomis as CFO, to come along side Josie Juncal, Colorescience's Chief Commercial Officer, all three former SkinMedica executives. Together the team has quickly mapped out their plans for accelerated growth, and subsequently raised $10 million in Series A Venture Capital Financing.
Now in its eighth year, the Venture Capital Award of Excellence winners are selected from those EY Entrepreneur Of The Year™ regional winners whose companies have been backed by venture capital funding. The recipients were selected on the basis of VC funding, equity and revenue growth, EBITDA margins, and the stories of their company development. The winners were selected out of 50 nominees by an independent panel of judges, comprised of four leading venture capitalists from across the country including: Jeff Fagnan – Atlas Venture; Steve Goldberg – Venrock; Richard Heitzmann – FirstMark Capital; and Adele Oliva – Quaker Partners.
