WILLIAMSBURG, Va., Oct. 10, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Colonial Williamsburg Resorts announces today the completion of the guest room renovations at the Williamsburg Lodge, Autograph Collection property. The Williamsburg Lodge features 323 guest rooms, including two hospitality suites, full service spa and fitness center, 45 holes of championship golf, on-site restaurants and lounge, and a central location just steps from Colonial Williamsburg Historic Area and Art Museums.
The property has been in the process of extensive multi-phase renovations throughout 2018, giving rooms a fresh, clean and modern look while drawing inspiration from and including touches of 18th century that make the property a unique and guest favorite destination in the area.
"The initial guest feedback has been tremendous, stating that the new rooms are welcoming and contemporary – while still maintaining the authentic feel of the Williamsburg Lodge," said Cole Wallace, General Manager. "Our staff has been a huge part of the process from start to finish, at all levels. This revamp of the property is something our staff has taken great pride in and are eager to share with guests new and returning."
The Williamsburg Lodge has restored iconic elements throughout the property such as crown molding and inspiration from 18th century trends such as a Chippendale Fret pattern accented in the drapery.
"The Williamsburg Lodge renovations only add to an already robust guest experience including grounds filled with lush and inviting scenery, extensive resort amenities, and 45,000 square feet of indoor meeting space making it one of the most versatile venues for corporate meetings, conferences and events in the area," said Mr. Wallace. "From recent accolades such as the TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence, proximity to area attractions such as Busch Gardens, regional wineries and vineyards, to live music events at Sweet Tea & Barley – the Williamsburg Lodge has something for local visitors and guests alike."
Williamsburg Lodge renovations were completed with a dedicated and enthusiastic team at the Colonial Williamsburg Resorts. Heading into 2019, the Williamsburg Lodge will kick off it's 80th anniversary March 2019.
