Collins Center for Public Policy Announces Opening of Office in St. Petersburg and New Hires
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla., May 14 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Collins Center for Public Policy has opened an office at the Poynter Institute in downtown St. Petersburg. The office will be staffed with communication, marketing and development specialists.
Jon DeVries, senior vice president of Communication, Marketing & Development announces the appointment of three directors at the Collins Center. Thomas M. Arthur joins the Collins Center as director of Collins News and Information Services. Mr. Arthur oversees the news gathering, writing and editing for Collins Center initiatives. He has spent the majority of his career working for newspapers in Florida including as senior editor with the Tampa Tribune.
As Director of Online Strategy, Daniel Bevarly leads the Collins Center's efforts to leverage interactive, new media solutions using the Web and other electronic devices to build relationships with stakeholders, partners and the public around the Center's programs and initiatives. Prior to joining the Collins Center, Mr. Bevarly spent more than 28 years in public administration, in both the public and private sectors.
Robin Lankton is the director of marketing; she'll develop the marketing initiatives and brand strategy for the Collins Center and its programs. Before joining the Collins Center, Ms. Lankton served as the Marketing Strategy Manager for the St. Petersburg Times.
