Collins Barrow Calgary appoints new managing partner
CALGARY, Aug. 21, 2013 /CNW/ - Collins Barrow Calgary announces that Dean Woodward has been appointed to the role of Managing Partner of the firm.
A partner since 1995, Dean has served as Chair of Collins Barrow National and Chair of the network's National Tax Committee. Still an active member of the Collins Barrow National Board of Directors, Dean looks forward to his new role and more regional responsibilities.
"Collins Barrow Calgary is comprised of a talented and hard working group of professionals who are keenly focused on bringing clients' goals to fruition," says Dean. "It is an honour to be serving our clients and professionals in the capacity of Managing Partner."
Lead of the taxation services group for eight years, Dean's practice has focused on providing tax planning and structuring for publicly-listed as well as privately-held clients in some of Calgary's key industries, such as natural resources, real estate development and construction.
Dean succeeds Wes Stripling who served as the firm's Managing Partner for the past eight years. Gradually transitioning into retirement this year, Wes will continue to provide consulting services for Collins Barrow Calgary's strategic planning and business succession clients.
"Wes provided a strong example, setting the tone in terms of our core values and client focus," adds Dean. "I am committed to carrying on our firm's legacy of excellence."
"I am very proud of the accomplishments our firm has realized over the course of my term as Managing Partner," says Wes. "Many of our entrepreneurial clients have worked with us for decades and grown with us. Our success is a reflection of their own and, as I pass the reins to Dean, I am confident that the firm will continue to thrive under his leadership."
