Colliers International Names Anjee Solanki as National Director, Retail Services | USA
New Leadership Role for the Commercial Real Estate Services Firm Supports the Continued Growth of its Retail Platform
SEATTLE, June 19, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Global commercial real estate services firm Colliers International today announced that Anjee Solanki has been named National Director, Retail Services | USA, a newly created position. As the National Director, Solanki will lead Colliers International's Retail Services Group, a team of more than 400 real estate professionals across 83 markets providing brokerage, capital markets and management services.
In her new role, Solanki will continue to support Colliers' retail business growth across all service lines, as well as drive greater collaboration across its markets, recruit local talent, and elevate its client service and market engagement. Further, she will continue working with Colliers' Retail Steering Committee; practice group leaders; Solomon Ets-Hokin, chair of Colliers' Retail Services Group; Patrick Duffy, immediate past chairman of the Colliers' Retail Services Group; and the Colliers senior leadership team to advance our overall retail platform and market presence.
Previously serving as vice-chair of Colliers' Retail Services Group alongside Solomon Ets-Hokin and focusing on retail real estate management services, Solanki brings more than 20 years of experience, as well as depth and knowledge, to her new role. She will work closely with Colliers' other service line leaders, including Dwight Hotchkiss, president, Brokerage Services | USA; Karen Whitt, president and COO, Real Estate Management Services | USA; and Brian Ward, president, Capital Markets | Americas to seamlessly integrate its services for clients across service lines.
"Since joining Colliers in 2010, Anjee has established a track record of taking a holistic approach to real estate by bringing together resources from across service lines and geographies to help solve business problems for both institutional clients and retailers," said Craig Robinson, president | USA of Colliers International. "Anjee's access to the real estate, as well as her strategic, forward-thinking solutions, made her the clear choice for the national director role."
Some of her long-standing relationships with clients include: Heitman, Grosvenor Capital Management, PNC, Clarion Partners, American Realty Advisors, and TIAA-CREF and many more, leading to Colliers' growth in multiple markets and cross-over opportunities for the company's other practice areas, including valuation, investment services, brokerage and property management. Solanki's work with institutional clients also translated to the tenant representation side of the business, including Urban Outfitters, Sports Authority and The Counter Burger.
Most recently, she led an integrated Colliers team that was awarded a full-service assignment with 278 Post Street, a landmark building located in San Francisco's Union Square. Tenanted with internationally renowned retailers, including Armani, Nike and Cole Haan (and across from the future Apple flagship store), Heitman awarded Colliers the contract for management, leasing and construction management on behalf of the State of Florida for this prominent urban project.
"We recognize that the end-user is the customer shopping in stories—we use that understanding to help tenants and institutional clients make sound real estate decisions based on those needs," said Solanki. "It's not about simply finding a space or tenant to fill a store; it's about taking a 360-degree look at the consumer, the brand and its products and crafting a solution through real estate."
Institutional owners and retailers are invited to connect with Solanki to discuss their retail real estate needs via email at [email protected] or telephone at 415-288-7871.
