CAMBRIDGE, Mass., Jan. 30, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- CollegeVine, a national provider of student mentoring and college admissions guidance, is reporting an exceptional admissions cycle for its Early Action / Early Decision applicants, with a 46 percent acceptance rate to Ivy League and equivalent schools—more than twice the national average.
Other highlights include multiple acceptances at all 17 applied-for U.S. News & World Report-ranked "top 20" schools, with 50 percent of students getting into their overall top-choice school. These results cap a year that saw the number of CollegeVine clients rise by 300 percent over 2015.
CollegeVine's Early Action / Early Decision applicants received admissions letters from Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Stanford, MIT and Duke, among others.
Additionally, CollegeVine's Early Action / Early Decision applicants have received on average over $70,000 of scholarships from colleges, including New York University, Ohio State University, Princeton University, University of Massachusetts Boston, and the United States Coast Guard Academy, among others.
"These results clearly reflect the strength of our near-peer mentorship model, which we now see working at scale. Our consultants not only relate better to teens, having recently gone through the admissions process themselves, but they also benefit from access to our ever-increasing proprietary data in making their recommendations," said CollegeVine co-founder, Vinay Bhaskara. "We look forward to the program's continued success, as more students get into schools they only dreamed about before."
