Business schools tend to encompass a grand variety of degrees, but none are growing so fast in popularity as the Master's in Management. This graduate degree was created in response to the demand by employers and businesses worldwide to train students to become professionals with the required knowledge and skills in order to be effective managers. While a bachelor's degree is a great start, the master's degree will cement a student's ability to get a mid- to a high-level administrative job in the business sector. "Geared primarily to young workers with a college degree but little work experience, these programs have been popular at the best business schools globally for years and, according to the research of the GMAC, are currently seeing a huge upswing in popularity in the United States," said Christian Amondson, Managing Editor of College Choice, as the ranking was released.
He went on to say that: "When a student moves from an undergraduate degree to a graduate degree in Management, they are specializing their knowledge in the different fields of management, including how management can affect economics, business, human resources, and more. It's more important than ever for businesses to find professionals with this knowledge, and a Master's in Management can achieve that goal."
College Choice did extensive research for the Best Online Master's in Management Degree Programs ranking. This included sorting school by regional accreditation and special accreditation by one of the three national and international business accrediting bodies. The business school's reputation, as well as tuition cost, early career salary, and program features, were also factored in. All information was gleaned from sites such as U.S. News and World Report, Grad Report, individual business school's websites, and other statistical sites.
