College Choice Releases 2016 Ranking of the Best Online Master's Degrees in Healthcare Administration
EUGENE, Ore., May 19, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- College Choice (http://www.collegechoice.net) has published its annual ranking of best online master's degrees in healthcare administration. The ranking can be viewed at http://www.collegechoice.net/rankings/best-online-masters-in-healthcare-administration.
Robert Hand, Associate Editor of the ranking says, "Healthcare is one of the fastest-growing industries in the country, with an increasing demand for everyone from physicians to nurses every year. This means that health service administrators are also in demand. Health administration jobs have increased in health care administration 36 percent in the last four years and is expected to continue to grow. This is much faster than average.
But to be a healthcare administrator, a college degree in hospital administration is needed. A graduate degree is even more in demand, with graduates being able to expect $100,000 starting salary once they receive their Master's degree. And that's not the only benefit to earning this degree. Graduates are often hired before they graduate, allowing them to transition seamlessly into their new job without any interruption to their lives."
"The degree is flexible--graduates can work in hospitals, private practice, as administrators in hospitals or health charities, and even in government agencies. Very few degrees can claim that amount of flexibility in one industry," said Christian Amondson, Managing Editor of College Choice.
University of North Dakota in Grand Forks, North Dakota, tops the list, followed by West Texas A&M University in Canyon, Texas, and Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana.
