College Choice Releases 2016 Ranking of Best Online Bachelors in Education Degree Programs
EUGENE, Ore., May 12, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- College Choice (http://www.collegechoice.net/), a leading authority in college search and rankings has published a ranking of the top fifty online bachelor's degrees in education in the United States (http://www.collegechoice.net/rankings/best-online-bachelors-in-education-degrees-2016/).
University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, American Public University, University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, Eastern Oregon University, and Fort Hays State University occupy the top five spots on the list, which is based on factors such as cost of attendance, each program's reputation in its field, and return on investment. Other schools include Florida International University, Old Dominion University, Valley City State University, City University of Seattle, and Texas Tech University.
Robert Hand, lead editor for the ranking, explains College Choice's ranking further: "With so many universities providing education opportunities for teachers, students may be wondering if there really is a need for more teachers. The answer to that is yes. As the country becomes more literate and the world changes, teachers with specialized training in innovative teaching methods are becoming more in demand. In fact, it is expected that the need for teachers will rise, adding 78,000 teaching jobs across the nation by 2024. Online programs, in particular, make it easier for students who work full-time or do not have the time to go to school on a regular schedule."
