CollabNet and #YesWeCode Partnership Demonstrates Success in Placing Diverse Tech Talent into Full-time Engineering and Engineering Apprenticeship Positions

SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, Calif., Nov. 2, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- CollabNet (www.collabnet.com), a global leader in enterprise software development and delivery solutions that help customers create high-quality applications at speed, today reports that 75 percent of the #YesWeCode Coding Corps graduates have been placed in full-time computer-engineering roles or apprenticeships in the San Francisco Bay Area. CollabNet partnered with #YesWeCode to deliver specialized ScrumMaster training and certification to the program members.

This program's results are important because they demonstrate how individuals, communities and companies benefit from well-executed initiatives such as #YesWeCode. This Dream Corps initiative aims at helping 100,000 men and women from diverse backgrounds succeed in the tech sector.

CollabNet is among a group of companies, including some of the Bay Area's largest brands, that support the #YesWeCode Coding Corps through training, technical interview preparation and job placement. Supporting companies host events such as #YesWeCode Labs, an opportunity for Coding Corps members to receive tutoring and mentorship from professional engineers. Companies also provide mock technical interviews, resume refinement and LinkedIn profile-development workshops.

CollabNet's partnership with #YesWeCode continues to make progress. New programs are anticipated that focus on software development, as well as career-building workshops to help members prepare for technical interviews and assist them with job placement.
