Cole Plante Releases Digital Single "Forever" On May 14, 2013
YOUNGEST DJ EVER TO PERFORM AT LOLLAPALOOZA
BURBANK, Calif., May 10, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Hollywood Records' artist Cole Plante will release his digital single, "Forever," on May 14, 2013, coinciding with the launch of his digital imprint, Teknicole. "Forever" is the first of three singles leading up to Cole's appearance at Lollapalooza on August 3, 2013—as the youngest DJ to ever perform at the legendary festival.

The 16-year-old Los Angeles native—and high school sophomore—Cole has been DJing professionally since 14 years of age. No stranger to production and remixing, Cole has had a hand in soundtracking video games, films, and television shows, not to mention fellow artists, including Justin Bieber. His most recent remix is of Myon and Shane 54 with Aruna "Lights." Cole's bigroom rework maintains the intimate vibe of the original song, yet still taking it to a whole new level. This new version will be featured on the Hungarian EDM pioneers' new In Search Of Sunrise compilation CD, the genre-defining series originally founded by Tiesto in 1999. ISOS 11: Las Vegas is out on May 26, 2013.
Cole's own original productions are informed largely by his DJing experiences, but also by his ongoing fascination with soundtracks and his parents' collection of '80s and '90s synth-pop records. "Forever" is the follow-up to Cole's single "Bring Back The Boom" and features a collaboration with Matt Dzyacky. That track provides a modern snapshot of today's cutting edge electrohouse sound with heavy drops that pound through sculpted complextro style synth arrangements. In true Cole style, "Forever" channels his youthful energy and his understanding of the dance floor—far advanced for his years—into a carefully molded beat pattern that is as intricate as it is energetic. The whirling rhythms of "Forever" are punctuated by accelerating synthesizers smashing through robust basslines and programmed triplet switch-ups. "Forever" is exactly what the peak of the night is waiting for.
Launching "Forever" is Cole's newly minted Teknicole digital imprint. Teknicole's digital releases will be available through all major digital outlets including Beatport. "I'm really excited to be launching my own label that fully represents me as an artist and producer and the styles of music that inspire me most."
Cole's precisely crafted big room, electrohouse and dubstep fusion DJ sets are packed with high-octane selections. While his choices are put together to keep the crowd moving, his progression directs the mood to shift just the right amount, constantly evolving and advancing. His style is a natural choice for the Lollapalooza Festival, which from inception has been known for defying convention and pushing boundaries.
Cole's previous DJ gigs have included Rain in Las Vegas, Avalon in Hollywood, Amnesia in Miami, Hard Rock Hotel in San Diego and Las Vegas, Enclave in Chicago, Ruby Skye in San Francisco, as well as the 2012 Identity Festival Tour, Red Bull's Summer X Games 2012, and the American Music Awards 40th anniversary VIP party. Cole has performed alongside Avicii, Nero, Porter Robinson, Eric Prydz, Paul Oakenfold and Danny Avila, among others. With a line-up that includes Steve Angello, Knife Party, Steve Aoki, Dogblood, Kill The Noise, Major Lazer, and Dillon Francis, Lollapalooza is a natural next step for Cole's DJing gigography. Get ready Grant Park…
