TEANECK, N.J., July 23, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Cognizant (NASDAQ: CTSH) today announced it has been named a "Leader" in "The Forrester Wave™: Business Transformation Consultancies, Q3 2015," (July 2015) by Forrester Research Inc. The newly released report evaluated the strengths and weaknesses of 10 of the top business transformation consultancies. A business transformation consists of fundamental changes to business processes, technology, models, structure, channels and even to culture according to Forrester.
The Forrester Wave: Business Transformation Consultancies, Q3 2015, evaluated global consultancies on 23 criteria in three categories—current offering, strategy, and market presence—to help customers select the right partner for their business transformations. Leaders were identified as being partners who are "innovative, consistent, and complete." According to a Forrester survey of global services decision-makers, reducing costs, improving customer experience, and revenue growth are the top three drivers for recent business transformation projects.
"Cognizant was the surprise in this field of more traditional business-consulting names because of how quickly it has built up high-quality assets for large-scale business transformations," stated the report. "It has been remarkably good at investing in its business relationships and at integrating acquisitions, and now it has a complete set of capabilities for business transformations."
The report noted, "[Cognizant's] research into the 'future of work' and other areas demonstrates some of the best applications of practical thought leadership that we've seen. The firm is extremely aggressive in building up software and other reusable assets and is positioned to exploit the long-term trend toward asset-based consulting."
"Innovation and differentiation are at the core of the business transformation we lead for clients today. Organizational structures and go-to-market approaches designed before the digital economy are increasingly losing relevance," said Mark Livingston, Executive Vice President, Cognizant Business Consulting. "Clients face a complex digital landscape and want a partner who will bring their new enterprise strategies to life. We believe this recognition by Forrester speaks to our proven record in helping organizations more effectively define their business objectives and vision, and successfully transform their business models for the digital age."
Livingston, added, "Amid rapidly changing client expectations, the services and consulting market is also changing. We have leveraged Cognizant's strong technology, process and domain expertise and built a top-tier consulting business that better addresses clients' business transformation needs. Our ability to bring top technology and business analytics capabilities to address the needs of the market embodies our belief that strategy without technology is no strategy at all."
