CHICAGO, Nov. 4, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- Cobra Electronics Corporation (Nasdaq: COBR) announced today the launch of the Cobra PhoneLynx system, which allows users to make and receive cell phone calls on any phone in a home or small office and eliminate the need for monthly landline phone services.

The Cobra PhoneLynx system uses Bluetooth® wireless technology to pair the user's cell phone with home phones. The installation is easy and similar to pairing a cell phone with a wireless headset. When the cell phone rings, all the home phones ring, and when the consumer places an outgoing call through a home phone, the call goes through using the cell phone number.

Furthermore, by having that location be an area in the home that gets strong cell phone reception, consumers will find that their home phones will perform better in the basement or other out-of-the-way places than if they were using a cell phone, without the Cobra PhoneLynx system, in those areas.
