Coastal Risk Consulting Names Dr. Brian Soden to Lead Science and Technology Initiatives

FT. LAUDERDALE, Fla., May 7, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Coastal Risk Consulting, LLC (CRC), helping property owners, businesses, and communities become climate ready and storm safe, has appointed Brian Soden, Ph.D., as Vice President of Science and Technology.  Widely regarded as a leading authority in climate change science and climate modeling, Dr. Soden continues to serve as Professor at the University of Miami's Rosenstiel School for Marine and Atmospheric Science.

Dr. Soden's research focuses on the use of satellite observations to test and improve model projections of future climate change. He holds a B.S. degree from the University of Miami and earned his M.S. and Ph. D. in geophysical sciences from the University of Chicago.  He has served as a Visiting Scientist and Lecturer at Princeton University, a Physical Scientist with NOAA's Geophysical Fluid Dynamics Laboratory, and Lead Author for the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change.
