Coastal Dispensary Donates $10,000 to Unity Shoppe amidst COVID-19

SANTA BARBARA, Calif., July 21, 2020 /PRNewswire/ -- Coastal Dispensary donates $10,000 in support of Unity Shoppe's efforts to safely provide healthy groceries to families in need. As the community struggles with the economic uncertainties of COVID-19, Unity Shoppe's important role in providing free, healthy grocery choices to hundreds of qualifying community members - is only growing. Coastal Dispensary is committed to supporting Unity Shoppe's ability to continue to serve those in need through proper sanitation and social distancing policies at their locations.

Unity Shoppe is a founding participant in Coastal's philanthropic employee community service program - Coastal Cares. "We appreciate Coastal's work in our community during these difficult times," said Pat Hitchcock, Director of Donor Relations at Unity Shoppe. "Unity Shoppe welcomes Coastal's generous donation to support our efforts to provide grocery choices in a safe environment, for our at-risk community members during this pandemic," said Hitchcock.

Coastal Cares is focused on addressing homlessness and economic inequality throughout the Central Coast through financial and programmatic contributions to local non-profit partners. At Coastal, all employees are encouraged to give back to the community through company sponsored volunteer opportunities with Unity Shoppe and PATH.
