WESTMINSTER, Colo., Jan. 2, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Coalfire, a provider of cybersecurity advisory and assessment services, announced today that Coalfire Federal, Strategic Federal Delivery has been appraised at level 3 of the CMMI Institute's Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI). The appraisal was performed by Ace Guides, LLC.
CMMI is a capability improvement framework that provides organizations with the essential elements of effective processes that ultimately improve their performance.
An appraisal at Maturity Level 3 indicates the organization is performing at a "defined" level. At this level, processes are well characterized and understood and are described in standards, procedures, tools and methods. The organization's set of standard processes, which is the basis for maturity level 3, is established and improved over time.
Both the global Coalfire organization and its Federal group are dedicated to high performance and continual improvement in their own internal processes, practices and procedures. In October 2018, Coalfire achieved International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001:2015 certification; the Coalfire Federal group also holds active ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 27001:2013 certifications.
"This CMMI appraisal level validates that Coalfire Federal, Strategic Federal Delivery, is fully committed to providing a comprehensive, proactive approach to managing projects and processes to improve performance and ensure quality for all our clients," said Bill Malone, Executive Vice President, Coalfire Federal.
CMMI Institute (CMMIinstitute.com) is the global leader in the advancement of best practices in people, process and technology. CMMI Institute's promise is to inspire cultures of continuous improvement that elevate performance and create sustainable competitive advantage.
