LAS VEGAS, Sept. 24 /PRNewswire/ -- ActionCOACH announced its "Coaching for a Cause" campaign, which launched for the first time ever last year, will launch for the second time on October 1.
Coaching for a Cause will make pro-bono coaching available to non-profits and charities all over the world. Last year, the campaign initiative called for at least 100 ActionCOACH Business Coaches to donate a total of 10,000 coaching hours to non-profits, with a targeted total of an additional $2.5 million in collected donations. Coaching for a Cause actually raised $3.4 million.
This year, the goal is to donate a total of 10,000 coaching hours and raise $5 million.
The campaign, which will begin on October 1, 2010 and continue through March 31, 2011, will track coaching results on a monthly basis. For those non-profits that want to continue the program, ActionCOACH will extend its service beyond the life of the initial campaign.
ActionCOACH Founder and Chairman Brad Sugars' own positive experience coaching a charity gave birth to the campaign. As a Business Coach, Sugars has been involved with coaching charities on a pro-bono basis for a number of years, and decided to leverage his own knowledge about coaching the non-profit sector to his network of Business Coaches - so they could do the same.
Sugars has also served as the Chairman of several charities in the past, and saw first-hand how Business Coaching could impact the revenues of a charity and its ability to help the greater community.
"Our vision as a company is 'World Abundance through Business Re-education,'" he said. "One of the most powerful ways to create abundance is by working on the front lines with organizations that are helping make positive changes in people's lives."
Sugars' ultimate vision for "Coaching for a Cause" is to have every coach within the franchise system to coach at least one charity of their choice.
The campaign was designed to help meet the challenge most charities face: a greater number of charitable organizations competing for donations as charitable giving is on the decline.
"Coaching for a Cause will continue to create a massive impact by helping charities and non-profits increase their top-line goals of raising more money and reducing wasted overheads," Sugars said.
"The scope of this program is enormous as it will cover many different types of charities all over the world."
