Co-Founder Dee Lincoln Resigns From Nationally Renowned Del Frisco's Double Eagle Steak House
DALLAS, April 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Dee Lincoln, known nationally as the "Queen of Steaks" for her role as one of the leading female businesswomen in the steakhouse industry, resigned from Del Frisco's Double Eagle Steak House today after her affiliation with the brand for over two decades.
"Del Frisco's has been an incredible journey, however, great eras come to an end. My leadership expanded the brand to eight locations across the United States. After living in the city and launching the New York City Del Frisco's, it was a life defining moment for me to recently return for the New York restaurant's ten year anniversary and celebrate its status as one of the top grossing restaurants in the country," Lincoln said. "The Del Frisco's brand is strong, and I feel confident my team and Lone Star Funds will continue its success."
Lincoln will create and expand new national restaurant and wine concepts.
Lincoln launched Dee Lincoln's Tasting Room & Bubble Bar with the grand opening of the Dallas Cowboys' new stadium, Cowboys Stadium, in Dallas. Teaming up with the Dallas Cowboys, Legends Hospitality Management and her brother Ricky Comardelle, Dee Lincoln's Tasting Room & Bubble Bar is a state-of-the-art, high-end wine, martini and champagne lounge.
This high-end Tasting Room concept is the first in a sports arena anywhere in the world housing self-service, high-end wine machines from Italy which deliver wines at the perfect temperature.
Because Dee Lincoln's Tasting Room & Bubble Bar luxury brand exceeded expectation, she plans to expand the concept, opening free-standing Tasting Room concepts in Dallas & Fort Worth before expanding nationally.
In addition, she and Comardelle will open a casual marina restaurant, The Dinghy Bar & Grill, at Pier 121 on Lake Lewisville in Texas in May. The Dinghy will showcase a patio overlooking the water, full bar and casual menu with a Cajun flare rounded off with classic Texas favorites.
Born Deidra Comardelle on the Fourth of July, Lincoln grew up in a blue collar suburb of New Orleans. In the late 80's, she moved to Dallas to open a Del Frisco's. In 1995, Lincoln's American Dream materialized, and she achieved a major milestone in her career when she and her former partner, Dale Wamstad, sold their Dallas-based Del Frisco's concept for a record $23 million to Lone Star Steakhouse & Saloon.
Intrigued by Lone Star Steakhouse & Saloon, CEO Jamie Coulter's vision to expand the successful formula, Lincoln stayed on with that company for eleven years. Lincoln assisted in bringing vision to reality by opening and overseeing additional operations for Del Frisco's upscale steakhouses in Fort Worth, Denver, Las Vegas and New York.
"Jamie Coulter is by far the greatest mentor of all time," said Lincoln.
In December 2006, Lone Star Steakhouse & Saloon sold the Del Frisco's concept to Dallas-based Lone Star Funds. Lincoln and Lone Star Funds continued to expand the brand with openings in Charlotte, Houston and Philadelphia.
"Lone Star Funds has been amazing to me, and I've enjoyed working with the Lone Star Fund executive team. I leave the brand in good hands and look forward to creating more memories and great experiences for everyone who has supported me over the years through my knowledge and passion for exceptional food, wine and service."
