Dr. Bryan Loy's Opening Chair address will explore how recent advancements in personalized medicine are motivating health plans to reevaluate healthcare coverage in light of genomic testing. He will provide an executive perspective on how balancing patient outcomes against cost-effectiveness continues to be the main challenge health plans face as they examine the landscape of personalized medicine. Bryan Loy, MD, MBA, serves as physician lead for Humana's cancer initiatives. He also serves as Vice President and Market Medical Officer for Humana Kentucky. Dr. Loy is University of Louisville residency and fellowship trained and board certified in Anatomic and Clinical pathology as well as Hematology. Dr. Loy has served in clinical practice as well as industry roles. He has extensive experience in administrative roles including medical directorship for a third party administrator, medical director for a Medicare Part A and B contractor and in his current roles for Humana, a commercial and Medicare health plan.
