CNSI Selected by Two Maryland State Agencies for Separate IT Development and Support Contracts
CNSI Tapped by State for Five-Year Engagements Designed to Offer Budget Savings
GAITHERSBURG, Md., Jan. 21, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- CNSI today announced it has been selected by the Maryland State Highway Authority (SHA) to provide Application Portfolio Business Services. As part of the task order under the State of Maryland – Consulting and Technical Services (CATS+) Master Contract, CNSI will continue to provide SHA's business applications development and maintenance for the next five years. CNSI also has been selected by the Maryland Port Administration (MPA) to continue providing programming and database management support services for an additional five years.
CNSI has supported MD SHA for nearly 15 years. Under the CATS+ contract vehicle, this latest win will allow CNSI to develop and maintain cloud applications using the Salesforce platform, in addition to Net Technology, Power Builder and Microsoft Access support.
"That Maryland's State Highway Authority has again looked to CNSI to develop and support its application programs is a testament to our services and the cutting-edge technologies we implement," said Adnan Ahmed, president of CNSI. "We are very humbled with the confidence this contract renewal expresses in our services and products and to be able to continue our long-standing business partnership with the state agency."
CNSI was officially selected to continue servicing the SHA on November 20, 2013.
In addition to the SHA bid, CNSI was awarded a separate task order from MPA to continue providing programming and database management support. CNSI has supported MPA since 1999 in various capacities, and this extension allows the company to continue supporting MPA's mission for another five years.
CNSI has provided similar support and developed several mission critical systems for the MPA to help it meet United States Coast Guard security guidelines. Notable among them are the Gate Pass System and mVisitor Security System.
"This is an opportunity to help both the SHA and the MPA transition toward cutting-edge solutions that can save money for the state," said Ahmed. "It reinforces all of the hard work, technical skills, and dedication that our entire staff provides to consistently meet and exceed state agency missions."
